Health Threats From Mosquitoes

Many people consider the mosquito is simply a nuisance. It is certainly that, but it is also a dangerous little insect due to the diseases that it carries; diseases that infect its victims. Many nasty diseases that are caused by mosquitoes in other countries do not affect Australia, but there are still enough illnesses that we can get from mozzies to warrant prevention of bites by installing adequate mosquito traps or an insect zapper of some kind.

Ross River fever is one of the more common diseases that people can get from mosquito bites in Australia. This illness is so debilitating because it can last for months.
